Harsha Pillai is an end to end product designer working across digital products, smart objects, and services 🃛 ⟶ she is currently based in brooklyn, new york where she is writing her MFA design thesis @ SVA

Born in Switzerland, raised in Germany, and of Indian heritage, she naturally moves between cultures, languages, and ways of seeing the world. This ever-changing perspective shaped her approach—deeply considering the systems we live in, and most importantly, designing with care for those at the heart of it all.

With a background in architecture and computer science, she’s trained to think at multiple scales and modalities—balancing the big picture with the details that make a product truly human. She designs with intention, crafting products that feel as thoughtful as they are functional.

Beyond designing, Harsha writes about design—questioning process, challenging the status quo, and exploring the intersections of design thinking, technology, culture. You can read her thoughts on her Medium blog.

Outside of design, you’ll find her throwing punches in kickboxing class, rooting for the Milwaukee Bucks, or keeping her NYT Connections streak alive.

Ultimately, she’s trying to live as many lives as possible in this one.
